This is another appreciationblog for the great Arlene Francis. Seems hard to believe that this gorgeous woman has been no longer part of our present for ten years now and spread her charm in a time long before we began to make a picture and -worst- only quite a few folks know about her. (The more I love the idea of a little "ArleneWave" right now- look at the newer and increasing fan entries...) The first encounter was at random and I was flabbergasted. The more I read and find about her now, the more striking and adorable I find Arlene Francis. At this site I want to share something about this discovery. |

it´s unbelievable: these strong and so very lively female characters are from east-german films made in the early seventies.
And the young women named Lucie or Maxie seem so very much more modern than numerous of nowaday´s main female figures.
Not least- this is because of the great Barbara Dittus, which was one of GDR- Films greatest actresses. And I miss her.

one of the best german actresses of the present times passed away last week.
She made inumberable films and theater-productions, some gorgeous, some less but all worth seeing because of her appearance.
I´m kind of sad.
